Latin Food Vendors to Stay at Brooklyn Soccer... →
Good news for the red hook ball field vendors (and the people who love the food)…they’ll be invited back for another six years - at roughly the same cost as they’ve been paying. It’s not all rosy (some of them will need significant investments to appease the health department) but overall, it’s good.

koReservations →
Momofuku Ko’s simple online reservation. I wonder if they’ll really honor the “first come, first served” promise. Part of me can’t believe that celebrities and other muckittymucks won’t get a better shot than nobodies.

How the Clover could change the way we think about... →
Now that’s an expensive coffee maker. I’ve been to the place in williamsburg that sells stuff from this machine and it is good…but not 500x better than a french press.

The Way We Cooked: Varmints →
Vintage recipes from Gourmet. Learn how to cook beaver, woodchuck, raccoon, and more. I was a little disappointed to learn the editors didn’t retest these recipes (dating from the 40s, 50s, and 60s).

The Ultimate Grocery List →
Never Forget an Item at the Supermarket. This downloadable pdf might be a little outdated (find film to develop?!) but still quite handy. That said, maybe the entire concept is outdated in this age of FreshDirect. [thanks chris]

Vegetarian Frustrations, Vegetarian Solutions →
I’m not linking to this NY Times Diner’s Journal post because I care about the plight of vegetarians (I’m sorry…it IS your choice and it IS your responsibility to choose a restaurant that can cater to your needs), I’m linking to this because towards the end there’s an update on the state of things at Devi, posted about in the past.

Gourmet Redesigns Website →
At first glance, a very nice overhaul for Gourmet’s website. I particularly like the focus on video - a natural trend for food sites to jump on.

Speaking of craft beer in a can, I’m partial to Porkslap Pale Ale - but that might just be because of the name.

I’ve never had Rebel Yell Bourbon - but it’s free for a solid hour every Monday at Bar BQ in Park Slope. I’ve heard good things about the que, too. [thanks caleb]

I really like Kozy Shack rice pudding. I didn’t realize it was so local. Hopefully the company continues on without its founder.

This sounds great. In some ways, though, it reminds me of the vodka-soaked watermelon thing. Sitll, it combines two recent passions (pickles and booze). [via Brock]
